The Mex Factor: The Republican air pollution control district

Arturo Bojorquez

Last week, the Imperial County Air Pollution Control District released a new logo. The new design differs from the old one in many ways. It no longer includes the county seal, and if it wasn’t for the inclusion of the words Imperial County, it wouldn’t necessarily be apparent it is connected to our local government.

It seems the agency led by former Imperial Irrigation District Director Matt Dessert is attempting to give itself a makeover.
