BRAWLEY — A 21-year-old El Centro man was arrested Friday morning for an alleged rape incident which reportedly took place in 2018, Brawley Police Department announced.
Brandon Antonio Young was taken into custody at Cattle Call Park without incident by Brawley police officers and booked into county jail on a $100,000 bail on suspicion of rape by force, statutory rape, sexual extortion, possession of child pornography and engaging in solicitation of child pornography.
The arrest occurred at about 9:15 a.m. when BPD and the Imperial Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force concluded a criminal rape investigation, which eventually led to the arrest of Young.
On Friday morning, the 21-year-old was arrested after investigating officers made arrangements to meet him at Cattle Call Park.
BPD did not disclose any further information about the alleged rape other than it took place in 2018.
