BRAWLEY – The Brawley Police Department is seeking information from the public in connection to a shooting that occurred Monday near North Seventh and A streets.

The 9 p.m. shooting left one 38-year-old man hospitalized with multiple non-life threatening gunshot wounds, the department reported.

Officers responding to the scene had encountered the man in the had 700 block of A Street. The victim was subsequently treated by Medical personnel from the Brawley Fire Department and AMR ambulance services, a BPD press release stated.  

The incident is being investigated as an attempted homicide by the Brawley Police Department’s Investigations Division. It is unclear if the shooting is connected to a shooting that occurred the night before.
