BRAWLEY — Just hours before their graduation ceremony on Thursday, five senior student-athletes from Brawley Union High School signed national collegiate letters of intent to continue their education and athletic careers.

The five signees were baseball players Tennessee Carranza and Israel Espinosa, softball players Brianna Hoffman and Mikalyn Emanuelli and football player Jayden Figueroa.

Brianna Hoffman just graduated from Brawley Union with a 4.2 GPA. She will be attending Aurora University where she will continue to play softball. PHOTO CORISSA IBARRA

New Brawley graduate Israel Espinoza finished high school with a 4.0 GPA. He will be attending Lake Erie College, in Ohio, where he will continue to play baseball. PHOTO CORISSA IBARRA
