RIVERSIDE — Back in May, Brawley native Hannah Rodriguez’s collegiate softball career ended on a down note, when her UC-Riverside Highlanders were drubbed out of the National Invitational Softball Championship tournament with a 10-0 loss to Loyola Marymount.

Rodriguez was one of just three Highlanders to get a base hit in that game, singling to right with two out in the bottom of the third and the game still tight at 1-0.
