IMPERIAL – While the global pandemic may have delayed the high school football season, it did little to slow down Central Union High’s dominance in the Imperial Valley League standings as the Spartans recorded their third consecutive shutout this season after defeating Imperial High, 27-0, here on Thursday night.

Central Head Coach David Peña credited his players’ dedication and refusal to give up hope they would play again this year.
