EL CENTRO — This weekend the baseball fields at Sunflower Park were abuzz with activity. There were no bats or mitts anywhere to be found, but there were plenty of cleats, as the park played host to the first Imperial Valley Flag League football tournament.

The tournament featured 22 teams across four divisions (8U, 10U, 12U and 14U), with athletes competing for the glories of a first-place medal and a Plasticine-looking Super Bowl replica trophy (but also just for the love of the game).
