Loss in state volleyball playoffs doesn't tarnish Central's season

CHATSWORTH — Moving up to Division IV heading into the Southern California Regionals of the CIF State volleyball tournament, the Central Union High School Spartans girls’ volleyball team fell to the Chatsworth High Chancellors three games to none here Tuesday afternoon.

Central, representing the CIF-San Diego Section as Division V champions, went into the match ranked well below Chatsworth, who played in the Open Division of the CIF Los Angeles City Section playoffs, according to the Maxpreps.com state power rankings.
