EL PASO, Texas — As location-based slogans go, it’s hard to match up to “everything’s bigger in Texas.” Nationally only Las Vegas and New York City (of “what happens in Vegas” and “the city that never sleeps” fame) can match the Lone Star State on a soundbite for soundbite basis.

But while everything may, in fact, be bigger in Texas, bigger does not equal better, as the Central Union Spartans proved to the Del Valle Conquistadors of Friday night, making the most of their long trip from one border town to another with a 34-21 win.
