Spartans push through to win D-V volleyball crown

SAN DIEGO – Dominating game one. the Central Union High Spartan girls volleyball team then weathered two close games to claim the CIF-San Diego Section Division V championship trophy at Canyon Crest High School Friday afternoon.

The Desert League champions and No. 3 seeded Spartans swept the fourth-seeded Kearny High Comets 25-17, 25-23 and 26-24.
