Scripps Regional Spelling Bee
Every March, IV Press hosts the Scripps Regional Spelling Bee that sends one star speller from many participating schools on the chance of a lifetime—an all expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. to compete at the Scripps National Spelling Bee! Spelling bees are an important part of learning as they help improve spelling, increase vocabulary , public speaking skills and also encourage self-condence
IV High
IV High is a multi-faceted high school journalism project developed by the Imperial Valley Press. Newspaper professionals & educators work together in the classroom to publish campus-based journalism. IV High publishes 100% student-written content through writing, photography, raw video and social media. IV High was developed to bring journalism education back to high schools in the wake of state budget cuts.
¡Éxito! is a bilingual, curriculum and grade based publication designed specically for the classroom with a core mission of improving English literacy among English Language Learners. It features content on three core subjects including Social Studies, Science and Mathematics. The publication is filled with games, puzzles and activities geared to familiarize students with vocabulary and spelling.
