Our Charity Partner
A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Imperial Valley Cancer Support Center (formerly Between Women, Inc.), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to both the physical and emotional well being of Imperial Valley residents living with cancer. We provide tools and services to educate, advocate, and support those going through what is both an extremely physically and mentally taxing illness. Our goal is to make our clients feel safe, empowered, and strong enough to keep fighting.

We provide an extensive range of products and services for our clients to aid them through every step of their cancer journey -- diagnosis, treatment, and beyond. For our uninsured, underinsured, or economically disadvantaged clients, our services are free of charge.

Our mission is to provide tools and services that educate, advocate, and support the residents of Imperial County in the fight against cancer and are free of charge if uninsured, under-insured, or financially disadvantaged.

Here at Imperial Valley Cancer Support Center, we serve ALL patients, regardless of gender, financial status, insurance status, cancer diagnosis, or age.

We believe in the healing power of love and support, two of the most important gifts we, as humans, can all give. We take the time to get to know our clients and their families to provide a personalized and intimate experience. At IVCSC, you will find a family for life!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the color?
The color is made out of cornstarch and food dye. Feel free to use sunglasses to protect your eyes. You can also wear a bandana around your face to prevent color or dust from getting in your mouth.

Will the color stain my clothes or shoes?
The color does mostly wash out after the event, but some of it can stain. As with anything, the sooner you wash it the better. We suggest wearing items that you wouldn't mind getting the color on.

What should I wear?
- Wear WHITE to get the best color experience!
- Be Comfortable! It may be chilly so wear warm running bottoms and broken in shoes (nothing worse than breaking in shoes the day of a long race).
- Protect Yourself! Put on plenty of sunscreen.
- Costumes are optional and encouraged!

Can I walk?
Yes! I Pink I Can! 5K is not a timed race and non-competitive so don't feel any pressure to run. We're sure you won't be the only one walking.

Can I use a stroller?
Unfortunately, due to track conditions, we strongly recommend not bringing a stroller. If you do, we ask that you walk the track only.

Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, pets will not be allowed.

Are cameras and phones safe to have near the color stations?
We are not liable for damaged items, so we recommend covering cameras/phones with a plastic wrap. We will also have our photographers taking photos along different areas of the race that will be available for purchase on our site.
